Talk Time Boston has previously partnered with Arlington Children's Center, TCC Kendall and TCC Lincoln (MIT), and Cambridge Preschool of the Arts to provide professional development programming.

Speech and Language Screenings

Just like routine hearing or vision screenings, our free communication screenings help identify children who may benefit from extra support - whether now or in the future. It’s part of our goal to de-stigmatize communication challenges by making early identification a simple, routine part of childhood development.

All you have to do is pick a date -- we handle the rest! We work to ensure that screenings days run smoothly and are minimally disruptive.

Parents will receive a brief written summary of the results, and if a full evaluation is recommended, families are free to pursue that with any provider - there’s no obligation to use our clinic. We also encourage you to send a simple opt-out form home beforehand for families who do not wish to participate.

Are you looking for more ways to support student needs in your classroom? We offer contracted services to provide in-classroom support that blends seamlessly with your existing schedules.

Our SLPs are highly qualified to support a variety of skills, including pre-literacy/literacy and social communication skills.

Some options for specialist support include:

Literacy Learning: we work with your teaching teams to support phonological awareness skills like rhyming, blending, and segmenting.

Snack Chats: we work with small groups of students on social skills like conversational turn-taking, initiating friendships, and advocacy.

Or, you let us know where you'd like more support, and we work with your team to create a plan specific to your students' needs.

After School Programming

Take your afterschool programming one step further by giving students the opportunity to continue receiving specialized support when the school day is over.

Game On! build friendships and strengthen social skills through playing board games. Members play different engaging board & card games to practice communication,

cooperation, and problem solving.

Student Interest Groups these are a perfect fit for students who may benefit from skilled support in social contexts, or for students who simply want to engage in their interest with others!

Literacy Support Groups for families seeking extra pre-literacy support for their little ones beginning to read, these groups focus on phonological awareness, early decoding, and more while maintaining engagement and creating a fun and supportive environment.
