SOCIAL INTENSIVE
Our Social Intensive camp is designed to help children aged 4-7 navigate peer relationships and develop social communication skills. Through fun, theme-based activities, campers build essential skills like turn-taking, flexible thinking, executive functioning, and clear communication in a supportive, small-group setting.
DAILY SCHEDULE
9:00am - 1:00pm
The day begins with a circle time for introductions, stories, and songs, followed by group therapy activities tied to the weekly theme. Campers also enjoy snack time, outdoor play, lunch, and a variety of hands-on activities like crafts, role-playing, and games. Our Arlington Center location allows us to go on outings, such as to the Robbins library or The Mill Café, to work on social communication in the community.
CAREGIVER INVOLVEMENT
This groups is drop-off. Parents will receive daily updates on their child's progress and activities, as well as a progress report at the end of the camp. This camp fosters connections among families navigating similar social and communication challenges. Parents are always welcome to ask the clinicians questions before or after camp starts.
GROUP THERAPY MODEL
Our therapeutic camps are run by two speech pathologists, allowing us to provide individualized therapy (within the group environment) for each child during the course of the camp. Clinicians create objectives for the week, take data, and provide a progress report at the end of the camp. Parents will receive a superbill for each session that can be submitted for reimbursement with your insurance.
