LANGUAGE INTENSIVE (7-10)
Our Language Intensive is designed for children ages 7–10 with receptive and/or expressive language delays, as well as gestalt language learners. This week-long, immersive program helps campers grow their communication skills through engaging activities, peer interactions, and nature-based learning. Designed for older children, this camp supports language development in more complex social, academic, and play-based contexts.
DAILY SCHEDULE
9:00am - 1:00pm
Each day begins with a group gathering, including structured social time, story-based discussions, and a preview of the day’s activities. Campers will rotate through group therapy, 1:1 SLP sessions, sensory play, crafts, movement, and outdoor exploration in our nature classroom. Snack and lunch times are built in as additional opportunities for language and social growth.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
Our focus is on building expressive and receptive language skills across settings—helping children apply their communication tools during structured activities, play, peer interactions, and daily routines. Therapy is embedded throughout the day, combining direct intervention, passive modeling, and real-time support. All activities are tailored to help each camper grow in confidence, vocabulary, and independence.
GROUP THERAPY MODEL
The camp is led by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists who provide individualized support within a small group setting. Each camper receives direct 1:1 therapy daily, along with SLP-led group activities aligned with their personalized goals. Families receive daily updates as well as a follow-up virtual meeting to review progress and recommendations. Superbills are available for insurance reimbursement.

Campers will discover a new corner of our world each day as they explore our outdoor classroom with peers. They’ll learn about oceans, outer space, the jungle, and more. Our intrepid explorers will “travel” the world while building communication skills.

Allessandra brings her expertise and enthusiasm to our Language Intensive for older children, with a focus on helping kids grow their expressive and receptive language in meaningful, everyday contexts. She has extensive experience supporting school-aged children with language delays, including gestalt language processors, and is passionate about building confidence through communication. Allessandra is especially skilled at integrating therapy into fun, engaging activities—whether through storytelling, peer collaboration, or nature-based exploration. She also believes in partnering with families, providing strategies that help children carry their skills beyond the camp day. She can’t wait to connect with your child and support their next communication milestone!
