LANGUAGE & PLAY INTENSIVE

Our Language Intensive is designed for children aged 2-5 with receptive language and/or expressive language delays, as well as delayed gestalt language learners, and little ones who would benefit from support in play and social interaction. This week-long intensive program will immerse your little one in a fun, play-based, language rich environment to help expand their language and communication.

DAILY SCHEDULE

9:00am - 1:00pm

Each day will start off at 9am with a group circle time, child-led open play, books, singing, crafts, and sensory activities. There will also be a snack break, lunch, and movement throughout the day. Each student will have a mix of SLP-led group time as well as one-on-one SLP intervention time.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

Every day will see a focus on increasing the receptive and expressive language skills of our participants. This happens both in individual mini-sessions with an SLP and in the larger group setting during structured and unstructured play. A mixture of direct teaching, modeling, and play-based activities will help support the children in developing these skills.

GROUP THERAPY MODEL

Our therapeutic camps are run by a speech pathologist, allowing us to provide individualized therapy (within the group environment) for each child during the course of the camp. Clinicians create objectives for the week, take data, and provide a progress report at the end of the camp. Parents will receive a superbill for each session that can be submitted for reimbursement with your insurance.
